Planning ahead? We are! We're looking to trade our home in the foothills outside Boulder for your beach place in Samara for 3-4 weeks in June/July 2010. We're a family of 4 and would like to be in Samara as close to the beach as possible. Our place is in Jamestown: 20 minutes from North Boulder at 7000 ft. Our 300 neighbors mostly work in Boulder, but enjoy the really tight-knit small town feel of our little mountain hamlet. There's tons of hiking, mtn. biking and the best road biking the Front Range has to offer, right at our doorstep. With in 20-50 minutes drive you can be parking at 10,000 feet and headed up to the high alpine wilderness of the Indian Peaks or Rocky Mountain National Park. Pretty much paradise, especially in the summer. Did I mention that we have an really sweet 3 brdm home on a year-round creek, shaded by towering willows and aspen? Jamestown is a small mountain town with one restaurant, live music twice a week, and a whole lot of trees! If you find it on Google maps you can do a self-guided Streetview tour (but the view of our house is blocked by a privacy fence). We're looking for beach (ideally within walking distance), screened windows and AC in the bedrooms. Safe and secure as well. Access to a swimming pool would seal the deal.
