This Costa Rica hotel is just two stories tall and made of block construction with three phase power. It is often described as a "Key West" style hotel with a private sense of being in a calm oasis despite being in the center of town.

The hotel was built in the early 90's and was completely renovated in 2005. The tour includes great 4 x 4 driving, river crossings, discussions on Costa Rican flora and fauna by our guides, a stop at a canopy zip line and then a safari beach party including open bar, full buffet lunch, football, volleyball and a great Banana boat (towed behind a powerboat.)

We generate revenue from this vehicle via daily retail trips and private weddings and incentive trips (yes they are still holding them). Larger capacity vehicle allows us to reduce our per person cost.

B. Private Toyota Land Cruiser Safari Adventure

This is our original business and the one that we excel at. We are the only company in Costa Rica that allows customers to drive their own fully restored, vintage Toyota BJ40 & FJ40 Landcrusiers. The tour has been well received by incentive, wedding and FIT groups because it combines exciting 4 x 4 driving (river crossings, steeps, mud and huge puddles) with light hiking and an emphasis on learning about the gorgeous flora and fauna that can be found in the Costa Rican backcountry. Clients love the fact that we keep the groups small and offer a high level of personalized service as well as show our enthusiasm and love for the hidden treasures that can only be found exploring off road.

We�ve been busier than I would have thought offering this high-end, expensive tour given the economy. Honeymoon couples continue to spend money since it is (hopefully) and once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Solid, consistent revenue producer.

3. Off Road Garage

Off Road Garage

To support its expanding Land Cruiser and M35 Troop Carrier fleet, the company leases a full garage in the nearby Costa Rican town Villareal. The garage is full service and includes four bays, a full oil change pit, electrical runs (220v & 110), air compressor, mechanics stations, and storage bodega. $10k in mechanics tools are included in sale.

The garage is attached to a three bedroom house that is furnished and includes office and living space for the mechanics/guides/manager.

There are few quality garages within a one hour driving radius and most expatriates have to take their cars to Liberia (1 � hours from Tamarindo/Flamingo area or all the way to San Jose (5 hours from Tamarindo area). Local shops are poorly equipped and unprofessionally run further frustrating expatriates who are willing to pay more to have their cars properly serviced. Cars deteriorate quickly here due to the heat, dust, mud and rain.

The garage repair business has been growing well. We currently have a master mechanic, two junior mechanics and three assistants. We are busy and looking to lock in the local taxi cab fleet as well as several of the hotel fleets.
